PROGRESSIVE COIL PROCESSING
“Coil management systems for progressive die and blanking die stamping.”
Dalsin’s experience in metal coil processing has a long history and goes back decades when full in-house uncoiling and blanking systems were installed to feed stamping presses and generate project specific sheets. The sheet blanks were then processed through strip fed stamping presses, turret presses, plasma cutting machines, laser cutting machines, and to fulfill customer sheet demand from the coil leveling and shearing system. Our coil processing equipment & expertise is incomparable.
Today, Dalsin’s coil management systems process material:
- Up to 48” wide
- 0.020” to 0.250” thick
- Up to 20,000 lbs.
- Dedicated to feeding the high volume progressive die stamping presses located at the MN facility.
The finished parts from metal coil processing are typically cut loose from the coil in the final progressive operation, which might range up to 10 progressions, when the final press stoke cuts the formed or blanked part free from the coil.
Dalsin’s materials management team negotiates with national coil suppliers, service centers, and directly with the material mills of origin to establish contracts and supply agreements, negotiating to achieve the greatest material cost control possible for every product. Our ability to negotiate price makes Dalsin the best choice for medium to high volume orders.
