I have over 25 years of marketing and business development experience encompassing B-B and B-C sales and marketing and across all forms of traditional and digital (ecommerce) mediums.
With a Bachelors’ Degree from the University of MN and a Masters’ Certificate from the University of St. Thomas, marketing has always been first love. The majority of my career I have been involved in the hearth and barbeque industry’s and was elected as the Chairman of the Hearth, Patio and Barbeque Association in 2004. I have been fortunate in my career to have had the opportunity to market products that enhance the enjoyment of life for our customers and their families.
Favorite Project or Success Story
When I first arrived at Memphis Wood Fire Grills at the end of 2015, I was given the challenge of taking this new brand and its game changing technology and ‘punching above our weight’. Working with our team of passionate employees, we created an impactful presence in the barbeque industry by designing and implementing a new trade show presence to acquire dealers and investing in sales and marketing staff to build the brand. Over the past five years, Memphis has seen double digit sales growth (CAGR) and we continue to grow in sales, dealerships and brand awareness today.
Interests Outside of Work
I enjoy traveling with my daughter or with friends both nationally and internationally. I also enjoy biking, hiking, reading, playing the piano and of course having family and friends over for a great meal off of my Memphis Wood Fire Grill.
