Dalsin Industries Opens New Automated Lakeville Plant
Bloomington, Minnesota—December 5, 2022
Innovation and growth have been a constant for Dalsin Industries, headquartered in Bloomington, MN. Throughout its 80 years in business serving OEM customers from around the U.S., Dalsin has delivered high quality precision fabricated metal products to support the needs of customers—especially those requiring complex punching and bending requirements.
With demand continuing to increase at a double-digit rate, Dalsin has made another investment to complement its existing 135,000 square foot plant in Bloomington. Dalsin Industries, Inc. is proud to announce the opening of a second facility based in Lakeville, Minnesota. The new Lakeville facility is 42,000 square feet and can be found just 20 miles from the Bloomington headquarters. But it’s a plant like no other Dalsin has operated and reflects the latest in industry automated materials handling and continuous production.
“Inside this facility is an interconnected and highly automated material handling, punching, and bending system produced by Salvagnini,” reflects Bob Borgerding, Vice President of Production Operations. This plant is a direct result of understanding the market needs and leveraging technology to effectively to manage cost, quality, and time. It is also a great example of how we integrate people, processes, and technology in unique ways to support our value proposition.”
Technology and automation are integral to Dalsin’s work, and it takes major reinvestment in the business to keep up with the latest developments on this front.
“We work very hard to integrate technology and stay on the leading edge of technology and automation. The most exciting thing we are currently integrating is the Salvagnini S4, and P4 lines and the automated MV materials warehouse states Tom Schmeling, CEO. “This is an example of our continuing investment in improved processes and automation which are critical to maintaining our double-digit annual growth rate.”
Schmeling continues: “The integrated production capabilities and additional capacity present a unique way for Dalsin to provide better service to existing customers and provide a unique offering to new customers in this competitive marketplace.
