Dalsin Industries Announces New President & CEO
Dalsin Industries has announced that, after 18 years with the company, President and CEO Gary Fruth will retire by year’s end. It also announced that its board of directors has chosen Tom Schmeling, currently Dalsin’s vice president of sales, to succeed Fruth as president and CEO.
“On behalf of everyone at Dalsin, we are grateful to Gary for his leadership and steadying day-to-day presence,” said Mark Dalsin, co-chair of the company’s board of directors. “During his tenure, Dalsin’s revenue more than doubled while the company garnered numerous awards and recognitions including The Fabricator’s ‘2020 Manufacturer of the Year Award’ and Twin Cities Business Manufacturing Excellence Awards.
“The board is excited to have found in Tom a strong and well-prepared executive who will step into the chief executive role with a running start,” said Arnold Angeloni, co-chair of the company’s board of directors. “During his time at Dalsin, Tom has strategically grown revenue as well as demonstrated a firm grasp of all aspects of our business. Before coming to Dalsin, Tom worked in a number of sales and business development roles at precision and recreational manufacturers and those experiences – working with business partners, customers, and helping to manage global supply chains – have been good preparation for his new role.”
