Environmental Stewardship in Manufacturing

Dalsin Industries is proud to incorporate numerous sustainable practices that are both good for the environment and business as a whole. And we’re honored to serve green energy and energy storage companies as fabrication customers, but we also walk-the-walk with our own manufacturing processes.

First, Dalsin supplies a whopping 41% of our energy needs via 3,096 solar panels on our roof. They provide 1,374,624 kWh of clean, sustainable energy. Further, we’ve partnered with a 3^rd party for another 0.8 MW of energy via a community solar garden. Between these two endeavors, we receive over 50% of our electrical energy needs from renewable resources. How many other metal fabricators can say that?

Second, Dalsin is seeking the Zero Waste certification through the US Green Building Council. Pursuing certification will help us become more resource-efficient, minimize solid waste, and improve our production processes and environmental prevention strategies.

Finally, we’ve upgraded to a new energy efficient roof, efficient roof top HVAC units, and LED lighting throughout the facility. Metal fabrication is inherently energy intensive, but with the combined efforts of solar energy, zero waste, and efficient energy usage, we can minimize our environmental impact for decades to come.
