Dalsin Industries hosted a regional meeting of the Women In Manufacturing (WiM) association on May 11, 2022.
Thirty-two local members of the Minnesota chapter received an onsite orientation to Dalsin’s business, which included background on Dalsin’s captive grills product. The orientation was followed up by small group tours of Dalsin’s Bloomington, MN facility, led by members of Dalsin’s executive team and work stream managers.
Over the course of the last decade, WiM has grown to be the only national and global trade association dedicated to providing year-round support to women who have chosen a career in the manufacturing industry. At present, more than 12,000 individual members representing more than 2,000 manufacturing companies have joined the growing ranks of industry professionals from 48 U.S. states and from 40 countries. Forty percent (40%) of total WiM members are based in the Midwest.
The Women in Manufacturing (WiM) Minnesota Chapter has an active base of members in and around Minnesota. Local chapters provide excellent opportunities for members to expand their local network, build valuable business relationships, and enjoy industry-related programming.
Dalsin was chosen to sponsor the tour because of its recognition as Manufacturer of the Year in 2020—based on three industry awards, and unique metal fabrication business and operations model. Dalsin continues to outpace competitors in adoption of automation, integration of technology, people, and processes. The Bloomington-based business is a leader in providing high quality metal fabrication services for several key markets, including OEM manufacturers and other energy-related businesses.
