Dalsin Industries Welcomes Tom Schmeling as Vice President of Sales

Bloomington, Minnesota – August 21, 2017

Metal fabricator, Dalsin Industries, recently introduced Tom Schmeling as Vice President of Sales. Schmeling’s experience includes past positions as director of business development for national accounts with Arctic Cat in Plymouth, Minnesota and more recently as vice president of business development and marketing with WSI Industries in Monticello, MN.

“We’re very excited to have Tom join our leadership team as our new vice president of sales,” says President and CEO, Gary Fruth. “Tom brings relevant large-volume and complex manufacturing knowledge from his tenure at both Arctic Cat and Mercury Marine. His experiences as both a sales and procurement executive is unique and we believe his experience will benefit our work to further develop Dalsin’s large account and OEM business. Tom has a strong track record in improving sales pipelines and developing customers—and that fits well with our culture of operational excellence.”

Dalsin is a national leader in metal fabrication, with revenues in the top 5% in the U.S. and is among the top 15 in company size.  The business has grown with a focus on large OEM customers in several industries, including transportation, energy, technology and electronics, and construction.  In the last month, Dalsin has formally introduced collaborative design services and is piloting a supply chain management program.

“Tom has the right expertise,” says Fruth,” as well as being a great cultural fit to help us continue our growth and program development.”
